Official Trailer For “Equals” Starring Kristen Stewart & Nicholas Hoult

A24 launched a full trailer for its latest film, “Equals,” a sci-fi romance starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult, and directed by Drake Doremus (“Like Crazy”). Written by Nathan Parker (“Moon”), the film also stars Guy Pearce (“Memento”), Jacki Weaver (“Silver Linings Playbook”), Bel Powley (“The Diary of a Teenage Girl”), and Kate Lyn Sheil (“You’re Next”). The film will have its US premiere tonight, April 18th, at the Tribeca Film Festival. A24 will release “Equals” in theaters on July 15th, and the title will be on DirecTV exclusively beginning on May 26th.

In this gripping and emotional sci-fi romance from acclaimed director Drake Doremus (“Like Crazy”), Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult play Nia and Silas, two people who work together in a futuristic society known as “The Collective.” A seemingly utopian world, “The Collective” has ended crime and violence by genetically eliminating all human emotions. Despite this, Nia and Silas can’t help noticing a growing attraction between them, leading them to a forbidden relationship – at first tentative, but then exploding into a passionate romance. As suspicion begins to mount among their superiors, the couple will be forced to choose between going back to the safety of the lives they have always known, or risk it all to try and pull off a daring escape.

An A24 film, “Equals” is directed by Drake Doremus and written by Nathan Parker. The film was produced by Michael Schaefer, Michael Pruss, Ann Ruark, Jay Stern, and Chip Diggins.

Available on DirecTV May 26th and in theaters July 15th
