Movie Review: “The Killing Of Kenneth Chamberlain” Is One Of The Most Profound And Heart-Wrenching Films You’ll Ever See

Based on the true story of the events that led to the death of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., an elderly African American veteran with bipolar disorder, who was killed during a conflict with police officers who were dispatched to check on him.

On November 19th, 2011, 68-year-old Kenneth Chamberlain was fatally shot by the police after breaking down his door demanding entry to his apartment. Law enforcement was notified to the building to help after Kenneth’s medical alert necklace was accidentally triggered. Assuring the authorities he was okay and didn’t need medical attention, police aggressively demanded to enter the premises. When Kenneth refused, the situation escalated resulting in police breaking down his door, tackling him to the ground with a taser followed by a bullet.

This film takes you back to that terrifying morning, detailing the entire tragedy that should have never happened. With an impeccable cast, the suspense keeps you on edge from beginning to end, making this one of the most profound and heart-wrenching stories you’ll ever see and an unforgettable crime you’ll never forget.
