DVD Review: “Ancient Aliens: Season 11 – Volume 1” Is A Cultural Phenomenon That Has Viewers Asking, ‘Is This True?’

Science and mythology – and how they are the same thing.

It’s hard to believe that the History Channels series “Ancient Aliens” has been around since 2009. This week, the new season (11) arrives on DVD. The series has had a cultural phenomenon that has viewers wanting to know: Is this true? Each of the 15 episodes for season 11 hooks the viewer into believing that the truth will be provided right in front of their eyes. However, I found the episodes do a great job of presenting a case for belief, but also allowing the viewer to “stay hungry” and encouraging the viewer to dig a little deeper. Please do not confuse this with a critic review, but a strong point that has made this series so successful.

I found season 11 to be yet another great season. This series is thought-provoking and provides different points of view on our world. It is up to each viewer to believe what they want to believe and to dig a little deeper into finding the truth. The series provides government employees, worldwide researchers, university credentials, and historical data in a genuine effort to inform and expose ancient mysteries. This is what keeps the series a vital part of our information society.

Each series continues to explore the mysteries of the galaxy and to try and bring some understanding to strange and unexplained events. What is also refreshing is what seems to be some tension between Ramy and Giorgio at times. Ramy Romany is the Egyptologist for “Ancient Aliens” and has been for about five seasons, while Giorgio A. Tsoukalos believes in the idea that ancient alien astronauts had contact with our ancient ancestors. So it is great to hear two well-educated individuals offering different opinions on a subject without out them arguing and bickering.

I would also add that even if you are a casual viewer or someone that is not really into “Ancient Aliens,” there are two episodes that most viewers can relate to and they are episodes 2 and 6. Why? Most viewers have heard of Leonardo da Vinci (episode 2) and his unusual methods, while the vast majority of viewers have heard about the strange events surrounding Area 51 (episode 6).

So, let’s see what it is that makes up Season 11: Volume 1:

Episode 1 – The UFO Conspiracy
In 2017, it was revealed that the Department of Defense recently spent millions investigating reports of UFOs. This is the latest disclosure about a series of secret government UFO projects dating back decades, but many of their findings have never been released to the public.

Episode 2 – Da Vinci’s Forbidden Codes
Researchers claim there are hidden messages that can be found within the works of Leonardo da Vinci and other art throughout history – that may reveal an extraterrestrial influence.

Episode 3 – The Alien Protocols
In 2017, a strange, cigar-shaped object entered our solar system from another star system traveling in such an unusual trajectory.

Episode 4 – Earth’s Black Holes
Could black holes exist not just in outer space, but here on Earth? And if so, could Earth’s Black Holes have caused strange disappearances and other inexplicable phenomena.

Episode 5 – The Desert Codes
Could giant ancient drawings found etched into the desert floor be part of an ancient alien code?

Episode 6 – Area 52
Could Area 51’s notoriety act as a cover up to much bigger, top-secret extraterrestrial experiments taking place at multiple locations?

Episode 7 – Earth Station Egypt
Was Egypt home to Earth’s earliest extraterrestrial visitors? Ancient Astronaut theorist Giorgio A. Tsoukalos explores the latest scientific discoveries.

Episode 8 – Island of the Giants
Could the ancient ruins of Sardinia, Italy hold clues to an extraterrestrial past?

Episode 9 – The Taken
Millions of people around the world have claimed to be abducted by extraterrestrials. Are these extraordinary accounts some form of mass psychological delusion?

Episode 10 – The Sentinels
Seven stone giants stand guard over a Pacific island. But what are they protecting–and from whom?

Episode 11 – Russia Declassified
A secret alliance hidden in plain sight. Joint space missions with undisclosed agendas. Have the United States and Russia been working together from the very beginning?

Episode 12 – They Came from the Sky
Ancient cultures from around the world believed that meteorites were not merely rocks that fell from the sky, but sacred stones imbued with the power of the Gods.

Episode 13 – The Artificial Human
Are intelligent robots a threat to humanity – or the next step in human evolution? As man and machine begin to merge, are we fulfilling a destiny prepared for us by aliens thousands of years ago?
