“The Human Element” Unleashes A New Trailer & Release Date

In “The Human Element,” James Balog uses his camera to reveal how environmental change is affecting the lives of everyday Americans.

Following the four classical elements — air, earth, fire, and water — to frame his journey, Balog explores wildfires, hurricanes, sea level rise, coal mining, and the changes in the air we breathe. With compassion and heart, “The Human Element” tells an urgent story while giving inspiration for a more balanced relationship between humanity and nature.

“I feel a great sense of urgency to bear witness to the historic moment that we’re in. These changing conditions in our world are not an abstraction – they’re real and immediate and urgent.” ~ James Balog.

“The Human Element” was directed by Matthew Testa, written by James Balog, Lyman Smith, and Matthew Testa and produced by Olivia Annemann and Daniel Wright for Earth Vision Film. The cinematography is by Jim Hurst and Josh Salzman and the original score is by Morgan Kibby and Jeff Russo.

Available on DVD & VOD January 29th
