A never-before-told chapter in Olympic history comes to life in the inspirational sports drama “Spirit Of The Game,” debuting on DVD and Digital February 7th, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Starring Aaron Jakubenko (MTV’s “The Shannara Chronicles”), Kevin Sorbo (“God’s Not Dead,” TV’s “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”) and Wade Briggs (TV’s “Please Like Me”), this rousing tale follows a group of young missionaries traveling in Australia who are recruited to help the fledgling Australian national basketball team compete in their first Olympics. In doing so, they help unite a nation still reeling from the aftermath of World War II. Written and directed by J.D. Scott (TV’s “Making a Splash,” “The Playbook”) and co-starring Grant Piro (“Predestination”), Mark Mitchell (TV’s “Round the Twist”), Anna McGahan (“100 Bloody Acres”) and Heidi Arena (“EMO the Musical”), “Spirit Of The Game” is an uplifting movie about faith and competition that will have audiences of all ages cheering. The DVD and digital release of the film comes with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie.
