Rover Dramawerks Announces Auditions For “Things My Mother Taught Me”

Auditions:

  • Sunday, October 23rd from 3:00 to 6:00 pm
  • Monday, October 24th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm

Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks, located at 221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Rd. in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center.

Brief Synopsis:
When Olivia and Gabe move into their first apartment together, everything that can go wrong does go wrong: from both sets of parents arriving to help them move to their moving van being stolen. Is this really how they want to start their lives off together?

Roles: 3 men, 3 women, one either

  • Olivia – (F) late 20s
  • Karen – (F) her mother
  • Carter – (M) her father
  • Gabe – (M) late 20s
  • Lydia – (F) his mother
  • Wyatt – (M) his father
  • Max – (M or F) 40+, building superintendent

All roles are available.

  • Email audition14@roverdramawerks.com for an appointment time, and access to a script will be made available to you. Be familiar with the script before coming to auditions.
  • Please prepare a one-minute, memorized monologue.
  • Be prepared to read from the script.
  • Please bring a resume and head shot.
  • References may be required.
  • Actors and technicians will receive stipends.
  • Rehearsals will be in Plano and will begin on or around the week of November 13.
  • There will be no rehearsals over the Christmas holidays.
