Rover Dramawerks Announces Auditions For “Heels Over Head” Saturday, April 16 & Sunday, April 17

Auditions:
Saturday, April 16th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 17th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks, located at 221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Road in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center.

Brief Synopsis:
Two total strangers have eloped after an ecstatic first meeting at a bungee jump, but neither suspects a future with terrifying roommates, unbreakable leases, an internet stalker, an ex-boyfriend, and nomadic bouncing between two extreme households. Rover SECONDS Play Contest Winner!

Roles: 3 men, 3 women

  • Jake (male) – Late 20s/late 30s; the nervous type
  • Luna (female) – Late 20s/late 30s; in love with love
  • Stan (male) – Late 20s/late 30s; commitment-phobe with a golden heart
  • Mari (female) – Late 20s/early 40s; a bit capricious
  • Marvin (male) – Late 20s/early 40s; the Wall Street type
  • Blossom (female) – Late 20s/early 40s; corporate by day, needy by night

All roles are available. Casting will be colorblind.

  • Email audition14@roverdramawerks.com for an appointment time, and access to a script will be made available to you. Be familiar with the script before coming to auditions.
  • Please prepare BOTH a one-minute comedic monologue and one-minute dramatic monologue.
  • Be prepared to read scenes from the script.
  • Please bring a resume and head shot.
  • References may be required.
  • Actors and technicians will receive stipends.
  • Rehearsals will be in Plano and will begin on or around the week of June 13, 2016.
