“Practical Magic” Puts A Spell On 4K Ultra HD™ August 25

Burbank, CA – July 8, 2026 – “Practical Magic,” the beloved 1998 film starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, will be available for purchase Digitally in 4K Ultra HD™ and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc™ on August 25th. The 4K Ultra HD™ digital release will include new bonus content featuring the cast and creative team discussing the film’s legacy. The newly remastered film will be available ahead of the theatrical release of the highly anticipated sequel “Practical Magic 2” on September 11th.

“Practical Magic” will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc™ online and in-store at major retailers, and will be available for purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Fandango at Home, and more.

SYNOPSIS

In a small, contemporary New England town, for two sisters from a family of witches, falling in love is the trickiest spell of all. They struggle to use their gift for magically guiding fate to overcome their family curse: The men they fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death!

Based on the book ‘Practical Magic’ by Alice Hoffman, the film, directed by Griffin Dunne, features an all-star cast including Academy Award Winners Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, and Dianne Wiest, along with Emmy Award Winner Stockard Channing, Goran Visnjic, and Aidan Quinn. The film is produced by Denise Di Novi, and the screenplay is by Robin Swicord, Akiva Goldsman, and Adam Brooks, based on Hoffman’s novel. It is a Di Novi Pictures production in association with Fortis Films.
