A deeply intimate and raw portrait of Selma Blair after she is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and tries to slow the progression of her disease.
In 2018, Actress Selma Blair announced her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis on social media with hopes to help others by lifting the veil of stigmas when it comes to disabilities. With years of treatment to suppress the many symptoms, her decision to receive stem cell treatment became one of the most important in her life.
The camera takes us along her daily struggles of physical limitations, healing past traumas, finding self-acceptance, and creating hope. This is definitely one of the most powerful documentaries I’ve seen this year. It’s poignant, brave with unexpected humor, bringing compassion, empathy, and awareness to the disease.
