Movie Review: Conrad Faraj’s “Fighting The Sky” Is Entertaining Sci-Fi

Strange other-worldly sounds are echoing around the world. A group of researchers, led by expert ufologist Lorraine Gardner, begin an expedition to track down the point of origin from which the sounds emerge. Yet as their journey deepens, they begin to discover more than they bargained for.

“Fighting the Sky” combines recent news articles about people from around the world who hear noises that are coming from an unknown source in the sky and the world of alien invasions.

The film follows a small, rural town thrown into complete uncertainty when, out of nowhere, individuals who had gone missing, start showing up. These individuals claim to have been abducted and taken into space. Lucky for the town, these people show up in the same town as an amateur UFO hunter Lorraine Gardner (Angela Cole). She starts the journey of trying to find the source of these strange noises and lights that are in the sky. This is where the adventure begins and it takes Lorraine and her group on a wild ride, perhaps on one that was more than they bargained for. They are looking for aliens and trying to document the experience.

“Fighting the Sky” is set to invade this February courtesy of Octane Pictures. The film stars Angela Cole (“White Boy Rick”) and Roger Conners (“The Curse of Lilith Ratcher”). The movie has great digital effects (the alien design is pretty neat), plus for this type of film, they do a really good job of the depiction of another decade regarding the set design.

While the film is low-budget, it’s a good solid feature. The cast provides good performances with a touch of fun added to the mix. This movie would be one to watch with your friends.
