Keith Urban: “Every Past ‘American Idol’ Judge Should Return For Final Season”

A new winner was crowned on last night’s season finale of “American Idol,” but 29-year-old Nick Fradiani’s victory wasn’t the biggest story of the night.

Adding to the drama of the two-hour finale – which was dominated by amazing musical performances, including Steven Tyler, Pitbull, Ricky Martin, The Jacksons, New Kids on the Block, and judges J.Lo, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. – was talk of what will happen during the show’s upcoming final season.

Before the big event, “Access Hollywood’s” Liz Hernandez was on the carpet talking to the “Idol” crew about their upcoming final season and how they would like to see some of the former judges back in the mix.

Liz suggested that the judges should “play a whole thing of musical chairs,” to which Keith Urban responded, “I’d love a revolving chair at the desk, for every judge to come back at least once every show. I would love it. It would be fantastic!”

Ryan Seacrest agreed, adding, “It would be remarkable to bring back Paula, Randy and Simon for a little bit of fun chemistry.”
