V.C Andrew’s “My Sweet Audrina”

Premieres Saturday, January 9th, at 8pm ET/PT.

Based on one of the few standalone novels written by V.C. Andrews, “My Sweet Audrina” is a gothic psychological thriller centering on Audrina (India Eisley, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), a young girl with an inability to recall past events in her life. Living in her family’s secluded mansion, Audrina is kept out of sight and alone, and is haunted by nightmares in which she dreams of her older sister, the First Audrina, who was left for dead in the woods after an attack. Everyone in the family knows the secret surrounding the First Audrina’s death except Audrina herself. But as she begins to question her past and disturbing dreams haunt her nights, the grim truth is slowly revealed. James Tupper (“Revenge”) will portray Audrina¹s father Damian and William Mosely (“The Royals”), will play Arden, Audrina¹s love interest.

 

“War & Peace”

World Premiere Simulcast on Lifetime, A&E and History beginning Monday, January 18th, at 9pm ET/PT.

The four-week limited series event, “War & Peace” is the a thrilling tale of love, war and family in a new adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s celebrated novel. Set against the backdrop of Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, “War & Peace” is the story of passion and romance, scandal and deceit, and follows the rise and fall of fortunes of five aristocratic families – The Bezukhovs, Bolkonskys, Rostovs, Kuragins, and Drubetskoys – all jockeying for top position in the waning days of Imperial Russia. The dashing Andrei Bolkonsky (James Norton) yearns for the glory of war but finds only heartbreak and disillusionment, which may be cured by the lovely young Natasha Rostov (Lily James), who desperately needs to marry well to save her family from financial ruin. Meanwhile, Pierre Bezukhov (Paul Dano) suddenly finds himself in possession of great wealth and at the mercy of fortune hunters eager to take advantage of his naiveté.

 

“Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart”

Premieres Saturday, January 23rd, at 8pm ET/PT.

Based on Grammy® Award-winning singer Toni Braxton’s popular memoir, “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart” is the authorized life story of the wildly talented artist, who has fought through a severe chronic illness, financial troubles and divorce while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles. “Toni: Braxton: Unbreak My Heart” is the true story of the measures Braxton took to make herself and her family whole again, serving as an inspiration to people around the world. Braxton executive produces alongside Babyface who produces. Lex Scott Davis (“The Exes”) will portray Braxton. “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart” also features Debbi Morgan (“Power,” “All My Children”) as Braxton’s mother Evelyn; Gavin Houston (“Guiding Light”) as Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Cortney Scott Wright as Traci Braxton, Skye P. Marshall (“Public Morals”) as Towanda Braxton, LaToya Franklyn (“Subways”) as Trina Braxton and Tiffany Hines (“Devious Maids”) as Tamar Braxton. Un-Break My Heart is also executive produced by Craig Baumgarten (“Twist of Faith”), Erik Kritzer (“The Runaround”) and Marcus Grant, written by Susan McMartin (“Mom,” “Two and a Half Men”) and produced by Link Entertainment. Vondie Curtis Hall (“Abducted: The Carlina White Story”) will direct.

 

“Lila & Eve”

Premieres Saturday, January 30th, at 8pm ET/PT.

A bold and provocative take on justice and the morals of American society, “Lila & Eve” tells the story of Lila (Viola Davis), a grief-stricken mother who in the aftermath of her son’s murder in a drive-by shooting attends a support group where she meets Eve (Jennnifer Lopez), who has lost her daughter. When Lila hits numerous roadblocks from the police in bringing justice for her son’s slaying, Eve urges Lila to take matters into her own hands to track down her son’s killers. The two women soon embark on a killing spree of their own, as they work to the top of the chain of drug dealers to avenge the murder of Lila’s son. The movie also stars Shea Whigham, Julius Tennon, Chris Chalk and Andre Royo.
