Empire Magazine have released the covers for their February issue and they both feature Tom Hardy as the apocalyptic anti-hero Max Rockatansky. Mel Gibson played the character in the first three installments, “Mad Max (1979)”, “Mad Max 2” a.k.a. The Road Warrior (1981) and “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985).”
“Mad Max: Fury Road” opens in theaters in the U.S. on May 15th and co-stars Charlize Theron, Zoë Kravitz, Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and is directed by George Miller, the director of the original trilogy.
