All the animals in the Eastern Forest are excited because Queen Bear and Princess Canue are coming to visit. But when evil Rogue Wolves threaten the royal bears, wolf pups Stinky, Runt, and Claudette leap into action.

In “Alpha and Omega: Journey to Bear Kingdom,” the Queen Bear and her daughter Princess Canue decide to visit the Eastern Valley. Wolf cubs from the Western Valley, Stinky, Claudette, and Runt choose to take this opportunity to see the visiting royalty, as the local forest critters spruce up the forest in anticipation of the royal visit. King Bear stays back home to guard the royal forest along with his advisor while the Queen visits the East with a couple of royal guards.

Once the Queen and Princess arrive, they are attacked by the Rogue Wolves, the western pack, and a Bear Army. The wolf cubs are pulled into the fray as they help Princess Canue and the Bear Queen to safety. Along with all the other critters in the wood, the Cubs work hard to find a safe place away from their lupine attackers. The team manages to get the princess to safety just as the King and Queen find out who they can trust in their kingdom as some of their subjects turn on them in hopes of gaining the kingdom for their own glory. Stinky, Claudette, and Runt, with the help of their parents and grandparents, ensure the safety of their forest.

“Alpha and Omega: Journey to Bear Kingdom” is part of a series of movies following wolves Humprey and Kate, along with their offspring since 2010. While I did not find this animated film to be more than background noise, my children, ages 6 through 12, were glued to the screen. The cartoons were rather unrealistic, especially the bears. The plot was fast moving and met its goal of keeping children entertained, with a few laughs sprinkled throughout.
