Cleopatra Entertainment To Release Peter O’Toole’s Last Film, “Diamond Cartel,” In Spring 2017

Cleopatra Entertainment, a Los Angeles based multimedia company, has acquired the North American, United Kingdom and Australian distribution rights to the Action-Adventure film “Diamond Cartel” it was announced today. Cleopatra will release the film domestically in theaters in the spring of 2017 with a special Blu-ray home entertainment release and iTunes release shortly thereafter.

Featuring the final appearance by the late, eight time Academy Award-Nominee Peter O’Toole, “Diamond Cartel” stars Emmy Award-winning actor Armand Assante (“Gotti,” “American Gangster”) and includes appearances by Michael Madsen (“The Hateful 8,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “Kill Bill”), martial arts superstar Bolo Yeung (“Enter The Dragon”), Japanese TV and Film veteran Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (“Kubo And The Two Strings,” “Memoirs Of A Geisha,” “Planet Of The Apes”) and Japanese-American 11 time professional kickboxing world champion Don “The Dragon” Wilson.

“Diamond Cartel” was executive produced by Gamal Diab, produced by Dauren Mussa, directed by Salamat Mukhammed-Ali and filmed entirely in Kazakhstan with an estimated budget in the high seven figure range.

The deal for the film was brokered by Brian Perera and Tim Yasui at Cleopatra Entertainment and by Sam Eisen at Shoreline Entertainment on behalf of the filmmakers.
