Angelikas Celebrate GKids Classics

The Angelika Dallas and Angelika Plano will partner with GKIDS, a distributor of award-winning animation for both adult and family audiences, to present a summer series beginning Tuesday, June 9th and running through Thursday, August 27th. The program will feature eleven films, highlighting Studio Ghibili recent favorites – From Up On Poppy Hill, The Tale of The Princess Kaguya; Japanese animation – A Letter to Momo, Patema inverted, Welcome to the Space Show, Summer Wars; audience favorites – The Painting, Eleanor’s secret Mia & the Migoo, A Cat in Paris and Academy Award® nominees – Ernest & Celestine and the aforementioned The Tale of The Princess Kaguya, A Cat in Paris.

The GKIDS Series can be seen locally at the Angelika Film Centers in Dallas and Plano on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. and Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. All tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at www.AngelikaFilmCenter.com or at the box office.
