FilmBuff To Release “Don’t Worry Baby” Starring John Magaro, Christopher McDonald & Tom Lipinski

FilmBuff announced today that it has licensed US rights to distribute the paternity-dramedy “Don’t Worry Baby,” starring John Magaro (“The Big Short,” “Carol,” Woody Allen’s upcoming Amazon Series), Christopher McDonald (“Thelma and Louise,” “Happy Gilmore”), Tom Lipinski (USA Network’s “Suits,” “Youth”) and Dreama Walker (CBS’s “The Good Wife”). The film received the ‘Audience Award’ at the 2016 Sun Valley Film Festival after premiering at the 2015 Sarasota Film Festival. “Don’t Worry Baby” also played at the 2015 Berkshire International Film Festival, 2015 Port Townsend Film Festival, 2015 Hollywood Film Festival, 2015 Beloit International Film Festival, and 2015 New York Independent Film Festival. FilmBuff will release the film in theaters and on all major On Demand platforms starting Friday, July 22nd.

In “Don’t Worry Baby,” struggling photographer Robert (Magaro) and his philandering father Harry (McDonald) realize that they each had a one-night stand with the same woman, Sara-Beth (Walker), in the same week. Years later, they realize that either one of them might be the biological father of her adorable four-year-old daughter. They begrudgingly agree to share fatherly duties while awaiting a paternity test.

“Everyone on our team has worked tirelessly to make ‘Don’t Worry Baby as meaningful to an audience as it was for us to make,” says writer and director Julian Branciforte. “The entire process has been thrilling, and now, I couldn’t be more excited. Through our partnership with FilmBuff we will bring our film to audiences around the world.”

The film, a joint production between The Sight Group and Manamarin, is written and directed by Branciforte, produced by Nick Shore and Thomas Kaier along with Jean-Raphael Ambron, Sam Harper, Brendan McHugh, and executive produced by Jamie Krasnoff and Johnny Sutak. Sam Scupp negotiated the deal on behalf of FilmBuff. It will be available on all major On Demand platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, the Microsoft Store, and Vudu on July 22nd.
