Video Association Of Dallas Presents The Winners Of The 16th Annual 24-Hour Video Race

The Video Association of Dallas announced the winners of the 16th Annual 24-Hour Video Race on May 22nd.

Anyone with a camera and the willingness to race participated. Teams have included children as young as elementary school students to professional filmmakers. Student teams compete against other student teams while adult teams are categorized by team size rather than skill level.

Dallas film and video makers of all levels of experience were invited to participate in the race, both creatively and literally. Teams that did not make it to the finish line at midnight were not included in the judging.

The winning videos are eligible to be screened on KERA –TV Channel 13’s program “Frame of Mind” and will be featured on the website: http://www.24hourvideorace.com/

Winner of the special students’ award, the Joel Rosenzweig Award:

“Thank you to Bart Weiss, Raqual Chapa, and the Dallas VideoFest for establishing this award in Joel’s memory. Congratulations to Aledo High School for a job well done. Their film was intriguing and made me want to see it again. There were many great entries which made my decision a difficult one. I think the level of work just keeps getting better every year,” said Joan Rosenzweig, widow and judge of Joel Rosenzweig Award.
