Adult Swim brings beauty, horror, and the bizarre to life with its new animated stop-motion series “The Shivering Truth” on Sunday, December 9th at Midnight ET/PT.
The new quarter-hour series is a delicately crafted, darkly surreal anthology comedy. Episodes are a series of loosely-linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of your unconscious mind and became lovingly animated in breath-slapping stop motion – in other words, it is the TRUTH.
Voice cast for the series include Maria Bamford, Kevin Breznahan, Rachel Butera, Ivy Chatman, Vernon Chatman, Zadie Chatman, David Cross, Andy Daly, Janeane Garofalo, Jon Glaser, Bobby Kelly, Conner O’Malley, Trey Parker, Jordan Peele, Zack Perlman, Martha Plimpton, John Reynolds, Nicole Rodenburg, Peter Serafinowicz, Miriam Tolan, and Julio Torres.
“The Shivering Truth| is created and written by Vernon Chatman, directed by Chatman and Cat Solen, and executive produced by PFFR (“Neon Joe,” “Werewolf Hunter,” “Xavier: Renegade Angel”) with Solen. The animation studio is ShadowMachine.
