October 29, 2026 – New York, NY – Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment announce the home video release of “Verity.” Starring Academy Award Winner Anne Hathaway*, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett, this provocative, suspenseful thriller will be available on 4K Ultra HD™ (Amazon Exclusive), Blu-ray™, and DVD on December 15th.
Based on Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, screenwriter Nick Antosca adapted Verity for the screen, and director Michael Showalter brought it to life.
In “Verity,” Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, relocates to the remote estate of renowned author Verity Crawford to ghostwrite her next novel. When she uncovers what appear to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, Lowen wrestles with disturbing confessions about Verity’s husband, Jeremy, and struggles to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
Audiences were seduced by the twisty adaptation when it hit theaters in early October, with critics and fans alike praising Anne Hathaway’s standout performance as the manipulative, unforgettable Verity. Verity has grossed over $145 million worldwide.
The Amazon Exclusive 4K Ultra HD™ release of “Verity” includes unique packaging and a special offer from Audible. Both the 4K Ultra HD™ and Blu-ray™ editions include commentary by Director Michael Showalter, plus 7 never-before-seen deleted scenes and 2 alternate endings.
Michael Showalter directed “Verity,” with a screenplay by Nick Antosca, based on the novel by Colleen Hoover. Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett, Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Brady Wagner star.
