“Swing Away” Flaunts A New Trailer & Poster

Freestyle Digital Media invites you to the green for the October 13th release of Michael A. Nickles’ “Swing Away.” Starring Shannon Elizabeth (the “American Pie” series, “Scary Movie”) and John O’Hurley (“Seinfeld,” “Family Feud”), the film centers on a pro golfer who rediscovers her Greek heritage while in Greece, her enduring love of the sport, and the hidden strength within herself. “Swing Away” will open in a dozen theatrical markets, including New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia, and on various VOD platforms October 13th.

“Swing Away” follows professional golfer, Zoe Papadopoulos (Elizabeth) as she travels to her grandparents’ village in Greece. She attempts to escape the harsh spotlight of the international sports world following a world-televised meltdown that leads to her suspension from the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association). Between baking bread with her grandparents and attempting to re-learn Greek (which she knew in her youth), she meets and mentors a ten-year-old girl who is determined – against all odds – to become the next golf sensation. Along the way, Zoe rediscovers her Greek heritage, her love of golf, and the hidden strength within herself as she inspires the townspeople in an epic showdown against a greedy American developer (O’Hurley).

In theaters and VOD October 13th
