“Storks” Official Trailer & Poster

Talk about precious cargo — Andy Samberg is fine-feathered courier with a newborn baby to deliver in the first full trailer for the animated comedy “Storks.”

The only problem for Samberg’s character, Junior, is that storks got out of the baby business 18 years ago, and now they transport packages for an internet retailer called Cornerstore. In order to make it as the company’s next boss, Junior will have to solve his kiddie conundrum in a hurry.

Like it or not, he has a partner in the form of Tulip (Katie Crown), a human teenager who was orphaned at Stork Mountain as an infant when her delivery address was lost.

Also lending their voices to the film are Kelsey Grammer as Junior’s boss, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as a pack of baby-loving wolves, and Jennifer Aniston and Ty Burrell as an overworked married couple.

Filmmaker Nicholas Stoller, who wrote “Storks” and co-directed it with animation veteran Doug Sweetland, said the movie was inspired by his own experiences as a father of two. “It’s about the struggles that parents go through and also the joys of parenthood,” he said.

And like the act of parenting, making “Storks” was a balancing act. “You have to make sure to have enough physical comedy that kids remain engaged,” Stoller said. “Although I tried not to have any physical comedy in the movie that wasn’t so dumb that parents wouldn’t also enjoy it.”
