Rover Dramawerks Presents The World Premiere Of “Crisis” By Texas Playwright Larry Herold

Rover Dramawerks continues their SWEET 16 Season with the World Premiere comedy, “Crisis,” by Texas playwright Larry Herold. Performances will be at Rover’s theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances run May 26 – June 18 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

When a corporation screws up – like, for instance, when a company’s CEO is seen doing questionable things in a viral YouTube video – they bring in a crisis expert. Someone to circle the wagons. Handle the media. Control the panic. That would be Margot Euston, played by Carol M. Rice. All she needs is for CEO Jack Carville (played by Gary Eoff) to be completely honest. But much to the chagrin of board member Charles (Matt Gunther) and wide-eyed temp Cindy (Christian Hopson), honesty is not a part of Jack’s business plan. On top of that, Margot finds herself dealing with a dictator of a small island nation (Michael Speck). Who can she trust?

Paul McKenzie serves as director with Darcy Koss as Stage Manager. Set design is by Kevin Brown with lighting design by Jack Wilkinson. Sakura Brunette is costume designer, Danica Bergeron is sound designer, and Terrie W. Justus is props designer.

Thursday, May 26th is Preview Night, with all seats $10.00 in advance online or “pay-what-you-can” at the door. Following the show on Friday, May 27th, Rover will host their First Friday INSIDERS reception, where patrons can meet the cast, director, and designers. Tickets for this performance are $32.00. All other tickets for Crisis are $22.00 Friday and Saturday nights and $16.00 on Thursdays and matinees.

Tickets for Crisis may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com, and partial season subscription packages for the remainder of Rover’s SWEET 16 Season are also available. For more information about Rover Dramawerks, please visit them online or call 972-849-0358.
