Rover Dramawerks Announces Their Third Annual Playwriting Contest

Rover Dramawerks announces their third annual playwriting contest. They are seeking full-length comedies or farces to be a part of their Seventeenth Season.

  • Submissions will be accepted from March 21 to April 9.
  • Only the first 150 full-length plays will be accepted.
  • Comedies or farces only! No musicals or dramas.
  • No one-person shows.
  • Plays may have been previously produced but may not be published.
  • If previously produced, a production history must be included.
  • Plays may not have been produced in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.
  • Playwrights may submit only one full-length play of at least 60 pages.
  • A cast list and brief synopsis must be included.
  • Only PDF files will be accepted.
  • Name and contact info must not appear anywhere on the script (i.e. this is a blind submission process).

One full-length play will receive a cash prize of $500 and a full production in Rover Dramawerks’ Seventeenth Season. (There is no fee to submit.)

Rover Dramawerks performs in a reconfigurable black box theatre that seats 90-130. Please take this into consideration when presenting your work to them for consideration.
