Reliant Returns To Illuminate The AT&T Performing Arts Center For The Holidays

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas today announced that its annual free holiday event, Reliant Lights Your Holidays, will take place Saturday, December 3rd. The event, which is held on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., will feature:

  • Illumination of hundreds of thousands of dazzling LED lights placed on the Center’s iconic venues and trees.
  • Live performances by RaeLynn and A.B. Quintanilla y Elektro Kumbia
  • Each will perform a selection of their hits and holiday classics and are being presented by the David M. Crowley Foundation.
  • Free photos with Santa.
  • Special appearance by Miss America 2017, Savvy Shields.
  • A fireworks display in Elaine D. and Charles A. Sammons Park.

On the same day, Celebrate the Holidays at Klyde Warren Park, presented by Nissan, will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Activities will include:

  • Free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus
  • Holiday kids’ crafts
  • Food trucks
  • Activities and demonstrations from our Dallas arts and cultural friends and neighbors
  • Holiday music entertainment
  • NEW! Holiday show culminating with the lighting of the Klyde Warren Park Christmas tree

Following the Park’s holiday show at 5:45 p.m. and tree lighting at 6:00 p.m., Santa Claus will lead the crowd to the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Attendees are encouraged to make the five-minute walk from Klyde Warren Park to the AT&T Performing Arts Center where the Reliant Lights Your Holidays festivities will be under way.

Reliant Lights Your Holidays begins at 5:30pm in Sammons Park on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus with holiday music and food trucks. Center Café will also be open to the public.

Bill Clayton, Vice President of NRG Retail Customer Care at Reliant, will help flip the switch and illuminate more than 550,000 holiday lights across the Center’s campus. The lights, which will remain on throughout the holiday season, will outline the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre and trees in Elaine D. and Charles A. Sammons Park.

Reliant continues its sponsorship of this signature holiday event, serving as the Official Energy Provider of the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Reliant recently joined with the Center to host PRELUDE: A Preview of Aurora 2017 – Powered by Reliant in the Dallas Arts District.

Other performances will take place in the Arts District on December 3rd: Dallas Theater Center will present “A Christmas Carol” in the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at 8:00pm, Dallas City Performance Hall will host The Dallas Women’s Chorus at 7:30pm, The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will present their Pops Concert at 11:00am and 7:30pm in The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and Texas Ballet Theater will present “The Nutcracker” in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at 2:00pm and 8:00pm.
