“Ransomed” Explodes Onto Digital January 30

Plano, TX – January 16, 2024 – After a colleague is abducted, a South Korean diplomat volunteers to lead the rescue mission in the buddy action thriller “Ransomed,” debuting on Digital on January 30th from Well Go USA Entertainment. But when the plan goes awry, he is forced to go deep into the heart of Lebanon in a final desperate attempt to bring his fellow countryman home. “Ha Jung-woo (“Fasten Your Seatbelt,” “Tunnel”) and Ju Ji-hoon (“The Spy Gone North,” “Dark Figure of Crime”) have palpable chemistry,” noted the NYC Movie Guru. Kim Eung-Soo (“Intimate Enemies”), Kim Jong Soo (“Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”), Park Hyuk-Kwon (“The Mimic”), Marcin Dorocinski (“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One”), Fehd Benchemsi (“American Sniper”) and Burn Gorman (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes”) round out the cast under the eye of award-winning filmmaker Kim Seong-hun (“Hard Day,” “Tunnel”). “Ransomed” is nominated for Best International Film at the 2024 Saturn Awards.

SYNOPSIS

After a South Korean diplomat to the Middle East suddenly receives a coded message from an abducted colleague who has long been presumed dead, he volunteers to lead the dangerous rescue mission. But when the plan goes awry, he is forced to team up with a local taxi driver—the only Korean expat he can find — and go deep into the heart of Lebanon in a final desperate attempt to bring their fellow countryman home.
