Pocket Sandwich Theatre To Hold Auditions For “Dracula-The Melodrama” August 7 & 8

“Dracula” is another of the Pocket’s infamous audience-participation, popcorn-tossing, comedy spoofs, this time poking affectionate fun at Bram Stoker’s classic vampire horror story. The old bloodsucker faces garlic, stakes and popcorn in one of our most popular melodramas.

To be directed by Nick Haley, auditions will be held on Sunday, August 7th from 10am – 2pm and Monday evening, August 8th, from 7-10 p.m. The auditions will be held at the theatre, 5400 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 119, in Mockingbird Central Plaza, one block east of Central Expressway, across from Mockingbird Station DART Rail Center.

Auditions will be cold readings from the script. Rehearsals will begin immediately after casting. Actors are paid a stipend (theater talk for not very much, but you’ll have the time of your life!) The show will open on September 30th and will run through November 12th, with shows Thursday through Sunday evenings.

Roles Available:

8 men, 6 women-Ages 20’s-60’s. The role of Melissa has been precast.
British accents (real or fake) encouraged.

The auditions are by appointment, which can be made by calling (214) 821-1860.

We are “The Most Fun You Can Have In A Dallas Theatre!” and have been since 1980.
