Orion Classics Acquires North American & Latin American Rights To Bridey Elliott’s “Clara’s Ghost”

Orion Classics announced today the acquisition of North American and Latin American rights to Bridey Elliott’s (“Battle of the Sexes”) drama “Clara’s Ghost.”

The film marks Elliott’s directorial debut who also wrote and stars in “Clara’s Ghost.” Rounding out the cast is Abby Elliott (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”), Chris Elliott (“There’s Something About Mary”), Isidora Goreshter, Haley Joel Osment (“The Sixth Sense”) and introducing Paula Niedert Elliott as Clara. “Clara’s Ghost” first made its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim. The film will continue its festival play at BAMcinemaFest on June 21st. Orion Classics will release the drama in theaters, VOD, and Digital HD in the fall of 2018.

“I grew up in a family who treasures the art of filmmaking so being able to work with my dad, mom, sister and the rest of this incredible cast on my first feature is a dream come true. I am so glad that Orion Classics is helping to bring ‘Clara’s Ghost’ to a wider audience after our world premiere at Sundance this year,” said Bridey.

“Clara’s Ghost” was produced by Sarah Winshall (“Men Don’t Whisper”) and Rachel Nederveld (“Burn Country”) and was executive produced by Chris Burch, Chloe Gordon (“Muckland”) and Daniel Powell (“Becks”).

Set over the course of a single evening in the Reynolds family home in suburban Connecticut, “Clara’s Ghost” tells the story of Clara Reynolds who, fed up with constant ribbing from her self-absorbed showbiz family, finds solace in and guidance from the supernatural force she believes is haunting her.

Orion Classics recently announced its relaunch with Mike P. Nelson’s “The Domestics,” starring Kate Bosworth (“Blue Crush,” “21”) and Tyler Hoechlin (“Everybody Wants Some,” “Teen Wolf,” “Super Girl”). The gritty thriller will be released in U.S. theaters on June 28th and on Video On Demand and Digital June 29th.
