GHOST HUNTERS “Stone Cold Colonists” – 9/8c
A house formerly owned by the “Father of American Surgery” harbors a dark secret deep beneath its floors. Now restless spirits, once the subjects of experiments and research, inhabit the home. Next up, TAPS visits a 19th century almshouse and adjacent jail after new tenants report that the former occupants never left.

 

PARANORMAL WITNESS “The Jail” – 10/9c

Detention officer Jay Yates of the infamous Estrella Jail realizes that the prison houses not only some of the most violent criminals in America, but also sinister spirits driving inmates and officers to insanity, and even death. Will Jay fall victim to the evil in Estrella?

PHANTASM: REMASTERED (2016) – 11/10c *Network Television Premiere*
Syfy will premiere PHANTASM: REMASTERED, a 4K restoration of the 1979 horror classic from writer-director Don Coscarelli for the first time on television. The cult classic about a group of friends fighting for their lives against the mysterious Tall Man stars Reggie Bannister, A. Michael Baldwin, and Angus Scrimm. Overseen by Coscarelli in conjunction with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, and screened in cinemas as part of Art House Theater Day, the film will open in a limited theatrical release and on demand Friday, October 7th.

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7

Z NATION “Escorpion and The Red Hand” – 9/8c
The allure of becoming a ‘Blend’ entices people to Murphytown. Dr. Merch works on a vaccine and booster shot to restore freewill, but when he stabs 10K with it, mutiny invokes. Elsewhere in the Apocalypse, Warren and the gang are stuck in the middle of a bloody battle waged by the Red Hand, a vigilante group led by Escorpion.

VAN HELSING “Coming Back” – 10/9c

Vanessa and Mohamad head into the vampire-controlled streets in search of Dylan, the daughter that Vanessa orphaned when she ‘died’. Back at the hospital, Cynthia is found dead and Doc soon discovers that what looked like a suicide is actually a deliberate murder. Is there a killer amongst the group? On their return to the hospital, Vanessa is captured by vampires while Mohamad leads a new group of refugees to the hospital.

After moving with her mother to a small town, a teenager discovers that an accident happened in the house at the end of the street. Things get more complicated when she befriends the only survivor of the accident. Starring Jennifer Lawrence.
