Movie Review: “The People vs. Agent Orange” Shows Decades After The Vietnam War, Chemical Warfare Continues

The Agent Orange catastrophe did not end with the Vietnam War. Today, a primary chemical of the toxic defoliant causes deformed births and deadly cancers. Two heroic women fight to hold the manufacturers accountable.

During the Vietnam War, over twenty million gallons of Agent Orange were dispersed over land contaminating not only the crops but the water supply. While millions of acres were destroyed, the aftermath was horrific, resulting in severe health issues including many forms of heart and lung disease, Leukemia, Parkinson’s, type-2 diabetes, and deformities in unborn children. Decades later, the chemical is still being used and descendants of those exposed are still struggling with the residual health effects.

This documentary accounts the journey of two powerful female activists who have come forward exposing and suing the American chemical industry demanding legal accountability for generational damage. This is a powerful documentary, shedding light on this urgent human issue that has been slipping through the cracks for decades.

Opens in Virtual Theaters in New York, Los Angeles, and other cities Friday, March 5th
