LEBLOX Selects FabZat As Their Provider Of 3D Print Ed Figures For “Pixels” Movie

FabZat, pioneer and market leader of in-app merchandising and 3D printing, today announced its partnership with mobile pixel art app LEBLOX. LEBLOX is teaming up with Sony Pictures Entertainment’s popular action comedy “Pixels,” which launched recently in theaters. Through this partnership, FabZat will provide the platform for ordering, printing and shipping of all 3D printed merchandise for the application, including content from the “Pixels” movie. To date, FabZat has already printed and delivered thousands of unique 3D printed figures for LEBLOX customers. Starting today, worldwide fans can now create, customize and receive 3D figures in classic 8-bit art style based characters and objects in the hit “Pixels” franchise through the LEBLOX app to keep and share with friends.

Since launching a partnership in 2013, FabZat has already printed and delivered thousands of unique 3D printed figures for LEBLOX customers. The average order size of a LEBLOX customer is about 2 items at $16 per order, and this metric has continued to increase over the past year due to a growth and interest in custom designed 3D printed items. Additionally, LEBLOX’s biggest market growth over the past year has been in the United States, France and Germany among customers from all ages.

Mathieu Lecoupeur, LEBLOX co-founder said: “We’ve been working with FabZat for years to enable our users to custom design and print thousands of 3D printed objects, which also provides us with a recurring revenue stream. Our users love being able to create truly unique 3D collectibles that they can keep forever. When we first started discussing this initiative, we knew that FabZat would be a perfect fit for delivering high quality, custom 3D printing to ‘Pixels’ fans.”

Florent Pitoun, FabZat CEO and co-founder, said: “We recently secured an investment round to further boost our growth in the US and Europe, so we’re really setup for success to meet the demands of this growing market, and particularly with our LEBLOX partnership for widespread ‘Pixels’ movie fans.”

Through a state-of-the-art shop plugin for iOS, Android, and Unity, as well as Facebook, Web and PC gaming support, FabZat enables developers to monetize their games through in-app merchandising as well as 3D printing. Since initially launching in 2013, the company has already delivered over 15,000 objects for games across more than 70 countries worldwide. Fans and celebrities alike – from Serena Williams to Peter Dinklage and Alicia Keys – already have their own custom 3D printed “Blox” figurine. Today’s announcement with LEBLOX for the widely popular “Pixels” movie will further increase the volume and reach of FabZat’s 3D printed merchandise to customers worldwide.

In “Pixels,” when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.
