Horror Hit “Tabloid Vivant” Releases New Trailer, Poster & Premiere Date Announced

Ahead of the movie’s premiere this Friday at Doc Films Chicago, “Tabloid Vivant” has released a stunning new poster.

The poster was designed to coincide with Saturday’s theatrical bow of the acclaimed horror film. The film will screen at 7pm and 9pm on July 9th at the University of Chicago and will be followed by a Q&A with writer-director Kyle Broom and producer Alexandra Spector.

Writer-director Broom will be present for a Q&A following this theatrical premiere of his first feature, which is as much philosophical art film as it is pure horror. Both screenings and the filmmaker Q&A will be free and open to the public. Jesse Woodrow (TV’s “Charmed”) and Tamzin Brown (“The Adderall Diaries”) are spellbinding in the award-winning** festival fave from writer-director Kyle Broom.

Max is an artist seduced by the allure of fame. Sara is an art critic whose obsessions exceed even his. When she lands a writing gig at a major art magazine, the pair retreats to a cabin in the woods, where Max reveals his strange new painting method. Convinced of its potential, she agrees to collaborate on a piece sure to revolutionize the art world. While both original and mesmerizing, the project reveals something dark and disturbing about their relationship. Like two digital-age Frankensteins, they manage to make a painting come alive – though the unsettling consequences of their success may be more fit for the pages of a blood-soaked tabloid than the chronicles of art history.

The first trailer and poster have been released for the film ahead of a wide release later this year.
