“Goofballs And Maypoles” At The Pocket Sandwich Theatre In Dallas May 3

A night of hilarity and delight is in store for the “Goofballs and Maypoles” audiences on Tuesday, May 3rd. Doors open at 6:30pm, Show at 7:30pm, at The Pocket Sandwich Theatre. Presented by the New York Goofs, the Goofballs Cabaret production takes the idea of a smoky, dimly-lit French cabaret and turns it on its head with a unique blend of theatrical prowess and comedic charm. It is a unique chance to see the cutting edge of comedy, aerial artistry, magic, hula hooping, song and dance in an all-new, original and exuberant show!

Written and directed by Dick Monday, “Goofballs and Maypoles” brings to Dallas a very special guest, the incomparable comedic talents of Barry Lubin, who last performed in the Metroplex in 1978 when he toured with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®. Recently inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame, Lubin is known as for spending a quarter of a century playing ‘Grandma’ with the Big Apple Circus. Most recently, he was featured in the PBS documentary “Circus.”

With Dallas’ favorite comedians Dick Monday and Tiffany Riley hosting the night of fun and frivolity, in addition to Lubin, the May 3rd cast will also include: Shawn Patrello (comedy, Kidprov and Rubber Chicken), Kirk Marsh (comedy, Circus Sarasota), Fanny Kerwich (hula hoops, Lone Star Circus), Mike Squires (magic), Thiago Nascimento (piano, Open Classical), Monique Abry (singing and comedy, Column Award Nominee), Steph Garrett (singing and comedy, Column Award Nominee), Asaf Mor (straps, Lone Star Circus), Julio Ramazini (comedy, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®), Kelli Brown (trapeze, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®), Chet Monday (singing and juggling) and Lily Monday (dancing and singing).

Located at 5400 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 119 in Dallas, Pocket Sandwich Theatre, a friendly neighborhood dinner theatre, will open its doors for Goofballs Cabaret at 6:30pm. A place where you can relax while enjoying food, fun, friends and the thrill of a live theatrical performance in an intimate setting, there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
