The HBO Documentary Films presentation “Going Clear: Scientology And The Prison Of Belief,” directed by Oscar® winner Alex Gibney (HBO’s “Taxi to the Dark Side” and “Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God”), will debut in prime time Sunday, March 29th (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, with an encore the next night, Monday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. (Please note the previously announced debut date was March 16th.) Based on the book by Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright, ‘Going Clear’ profiles eight former members of the Church of Scientology, whose most prominent adherents include A-list Hollywood celebrities, shining a light on how the church cultivates true believers, detailing their experiences and what they are willing to do in the name of religion.
