Samuel Goldwyn Films is proud to announce the home entertainment release of “Fresh Dressed,” director Sacha Jenkins’ fascinating look at the relationship between fashion and hip-hop, on DVD on October 6th.
In “Fresh Dressed,” Jenkins’ draws from a rich mix of archival materials, from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and present day in-depth interviews with more than 70 music and fashion industry luminaries including, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Nasir Jones, Dapper Dan, Big Daddy Kane, Riccardo Tisci and André Leon Talley. The result is a passionate re-telling of the evolution of hip hop culture from the South Bronx to Paris Fashion Week.
“Fresh Dressed” premiered during the 2015 Sundance Film Festival to critical and audience acclaim, and was released by Samuel Goldwyn Films and StyleHaul theatrically and on demand with an exclusive transactional window on Vimeo On Demand. The documentary is produced by CNN Films and Mass Appeal.
