Bleacher Report & Creative Action Network Present “Transcend: Moments In Sports That Changed The Game”

Bleacher Report, a leading digital destination for sports news, analysis, real-time video and live scores, today announced a partnership with Creative Action Network, a worldwide community of artists and designers, to present a new exhibition of original artwork titled “Transcend: Moments in Sports that Changed the Game.” Transcend features original works from 20 individual artists that highlight famous moments in sports history that sparked significant social, cultural and political change.

Transcend is available to view online at Bleacher Report’s Media Lab, and prints are available for sale at Creative Action Network. Proceeds from sales of “Transcend” artwork benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

“Sports are capable of playing profound roles in our daily lives and are often ahead of the curve in shaping moral, ethical, and societal values,” said Bennett Spector, Senior Director of Emerging Media at Bleacher Report.

As part of this nationwide campaign, Bleacher Report and Creative Action Network are seeking contributions from artists who would like to submit their work for consideration. For more information on how to be a part of Transcend, please visit Creative Action Network.

“Like sports, art has the ability to reach and inspire people in powerful ways,” said Max Slavkin, CEO at Creative Action Network. “Transcend highlights an ongoing conversation about the cultural impact of sports, and we’re excited to offer a new generation of artists the opportunity to help continue this conversation.”

The campaign launches March 25th, 2015 online at thelab.bleacherreport.com/transcend, and with an exhibition of the artwork at San Francisco’s 111 Minna Gallery.
