WHAT: Best-selling author, turned screenwriter and film director Adriana Trigiani will be in Dallas on Sunday, November 8th to promote her debut feature film “Big Stone Gap,” inspired by her novel of the same name. Adriana will be at the 4:25pm showing of the film “Big Stone Gap” at Cinemark Legacy and XD Theatres in Plano, TX for a Q&A immediately following the film.

About the film

Writer and director Adriana Trigiani brings her best-selling novel “Big Stone Gap” to the screen in a heartwarming tale of family secrets and self-discovery in a small coal-mining town during the late 1970s. Shot entirely on location in the real Big Stone Gap, Trigiani’s hometown, the film captures the joys, the tribulations and the rewards of life in the Appalachian Mountains. The award-winning ensemble includes Ashley Judd, Patrick Wilson, Whoopi Goldberg, John Benjamin Hickey, Jane Krakowski with Anthony LaPaglia and Jenna Elfman.
