Audience Awards Hosts The Consummate Host – GoDaddy – For Small Business Stories Video Contest

The Audience Awards (AudAwards) is thrilled to partner with GoDaddy – the world’s largest cloud platform dedicated to small, independent ventures – to offer yet another invaluable tool by inviting filmmakers from around the world to enter the GoDaddy Small Business Stories online video contest.

The challenge, which will award $21,500 in cash prizes, asks documentarians to shine a light on small businesses and the people who create them. Point your camera at those diligent, passionate human beings brave enough to start a small business and tell their unique story, as only filmmakers can, about the triumph and heartbreak that comes with investing heart and soul into making a small business work.

Dedicated to celebrating the power of storytelling and building audiences for new talent, AudAwards’ innovative, online video contest platform provides a stage for short films and engaging stories. It was created by filmmakers for filmmakers to help grow careers and fund dreams.

“We can all be inspired by the stories of small, independent ventures that power the global economy,” said Christopher Carfi, director, content marketing at GoDaddy. “We are pleased to partner with Audience Awards to offer an opportunity for filmmakers to capture the true essence of what it takes be a small business owner today.”

Commented Paige Williams, founder & CEO of AudAwards and award-winning documentary filmmaker, “We are proud to partner with GoDaddy for the Small Business Stories challenge and lend the talents of our community of filmmakers to give hardworking, small business owners a chance to tell their inspiring stories.”

THE CHALLENGE: Create a one- to two-minute documentary-style short highlighting a small community business and the people invested in that business, telling real stories through a human lens, rather than pretty lighting and technical polish.

JUDGING: A noted industry panel of judges (TBD) will award 10 prizes. Audience and preliminary jury voting opens Feb. 14, 2017, and closes Feb. 21, 2017. From the first round, the top-10 audience voted and the top-10 preliminary jury selected entries will move on to the finals round to be judged by a GoDaddy panel of jurors. Winners will be announced Feb. 23, 2017. For audience voting, visit: www.TheAudienceAwards.com/Vote
