“Guys and Dolls” will be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing on Tuesday, August 11th at 7:30pm.

“Guys and Dolls” tells the tale of the romantic misadventures of four now-famous musical comedy characters. There’s prim Salvation Army Sgt. Sarah Brown who wants to reform all the evildoers around Times Square. She meets her match in the high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson. Masterson’s friend Nathan Detroit is trying to find a spot for his floating card game while keeping Chicago mobsters at bay and resisting marriage to Adelaide, his long-suffering girlfriend. Detroit bets Masterson that he can’t make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. That “next girl” turns out to be the pure-at-heart Miss Sarah Brown. The bet is the perfect set up for a lot of complications, especially when Sky and Sarah fall in love and the police move in on Nathan Detroit.

“Call it sad, call it funny, but it’s better than even money ….”
