One of Acorn TV’s most universally adored series, Aussie murder mystery series, “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries Complete Collection” debuts on Blu-ray and DVD November 3rd. This all-new box set includes all three seasons of the original series, as well as the newest installment to the franchise, the exciting adventure film, “Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears.” Featuring award-winning actress Essie Davis (“The Babadook,” “Game of Thrones”) as the seductive, slinky, and risk-taking 1920s-era Melbourne detective the Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher. Now featured in a twelve-disc DVD or nine-disc Blu-ray set with nearly 3 hours of bonus material, including behind-the-scenes featurettes, cast interviews, character clips, as well as a collectible magnetic doll set exclusive to the collection ($59.99, Amazon). “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries” and “Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears” are also available to stream on Acorn TV. Called a “glorious streaming service… an essential must-have” (The Hollywood Reporter), AMC Networks’ Acorn TV is North America’s most popular and largest streaming service featuring high-quality television from Britain and Beyond.

Based on the popular book series by Kerry Greenwood, “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries” has delighted audiences worldwide with its fanciful escapades, gleaming Jazz Age period detail, high production value, and a sterling ensemble cast. In addition to Davis in her five-time Logie-nominated role are series regulars Nathan Page (“The Secret Life of Us”) as close associate and longtime romantic admirer Detective Inspector Jack Robinson and BAFTA Award winner Miriam Margoyles (“The Age of Innocence”) as the beloved Aunt Prudence.

Seasons 1-3 follow the Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher (Davis), a glamorous “lady detective” with a flair for fashion and a knack for solving crime. Armed with her pearl-handled revolver and vivacious charm, Phryne tackles the toughest cases 1920s Melbourne has to offer, to the bemused exasperation of handsome Detective Inspector Jack Robinson (Page). Aided by her maid, “Dot” Williams (Ashleigh Cummings, “Tomorrow,” “When the War Began”), and Constable Hugh Collins (Hugo Johnstone-Burt, “San Andreas”), Phryne sashays through back-alley jazz clubs and Melbourne high society, fighting injustice and leaving a trail of admirers in her wake.

In the suspenseful, wildly entertaining feature film “Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears,” Phryne embarks on an exhilarating new journey of mystery and mayhem through exotic 1920s British Palestine and the opulence of grand London manors. Fisher frees a Bedouin girl, Shirin Abbas (Izabella Yena, “High School Lover”) from unjust imprisonment and unravels a wartime mystery concerning priceless emeralds, ancient curses, and the truth behind the suspicious disappearance of Shirin’s forgotten tribe. Filmed on location in Morocco, including in the Sahara Desert, and in Melbourne’s magnificent historic mansions, the movie made its U.S. premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 4th, 2020, and was released on Acorn TV in March.
