New Trailer For David Firth’s “Cream”

The historic Regent Street Cinema in London has announced today that they will host the U.K. launch of BRAINFEEDER FILMS on Wednesday, November 16th.

The evening will be hosted by Flying Lotus and David Firth and will feature the WORLD PREMIERE of two films by Firth; the short film “Cream” and feature film “Umbilical World.” In addition, Flying Lotus will present the UK PREMIERE of his short film “Royal.”

David Firth is best known as the cult creator of the animated web series “Salad Fingers.” His short film “Cream,” tells the story of Dr. Bellifer a scientific genius, who after years of smashing particles together, reveals his revolutionary new product: a cream with the power to fix all of the world’s problems.

Firth’s “Umbilical World” is where broken nightmare pieces come together in the Umbilical World: A dog-stew of animated fancies from the scabland toybox.

Flying Lotus, also known by his birth name Steven Ellison, made his directorial debut with “Royal,” which debuted to critical acclaim at the Sundance Next Festival in Los Angeles this past August. “Royal”’s description: Unearthed from Los Angeles’s worst quake nightmare. The story of Royal begins where the curses of human survival have left off. Inside the dark rooms and dim minds of Missy and Kenneth. Some of the strangest secrets find their way out from behind the curtain, revealing wounds that may never heal.

Flying Lotus and Firth have been long term collaborators and in 2014 teamed up on the music video to Flying Lotus “Ready Err Not” http://www.fat-pie.com/flyinglotus.html. Flying Lotus commented, “’Cream’ represents David’s incredible talent and his ability to continue to amaze audiences with his edgy and envelope-pushing animation. I am looking forward to breaking boundaries with him as we continue to develop and produce animated and live-action content at Brainfeeder Films.”

Flying Lotus recently formed the independent film finance and production outfit BRAINFEEDER FILMS to focus on producing traditional and nontraditional entertainment and commercial content for global audiences. Brainfeeder Films is currently in production on their first feature film “Kuso,” with musical legend George Clinton, and comedians Byron Bowers and Anders Holm in the cast.

Previously, Flying Lotus teamed up with Eddie Alcazar to produce the Sundance entry “FUCKKKYOUUU” which Alcazar directed with a Flying Lotus-produced soundtrack. The film garnered praise by critics and audiences alike, and was showcased as a World Premiere at Sundance Next Fest 2015, an Official Selection at Sundance 2016, and an Official Selection AFI Fest 2015. The film also played at the 2016 BFI Fest in London.
