“State Fair” To Play At The Artisan Center Theater September 30 – November 5

“State Fair” opens at the Artisan Center Theater on Friday, September 30th and runs through Saturday, November 5th. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with 3:00pm matinees on Saturdays beginning October 8th. Reserved seating tickets are $24.00 for adults, $22.00 for students and seniors, and $12.00 for children 12 and under. Monday through Thursday tickets are $22.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at ArtisanCT.com, or by calling the box office at 817-284-1200.

Set against the colorful backdrop of an American heartland tradition, “State Fair” travels with the Frake family as they leave behind the routine of the farm for three days of adventure at the annual Iowa State Fair. Mom and Pop have their hearts set on blue ribbons while their daughter and son find romance and heartbreak on the midway. Set to the magical strains of an Academy Award-winning score and augmented by other titles from the Rodgers and Hammerstein songbook, “State Fair” is the kind of warm-hearted family entertainment only Rodgers & Hammerstein could deliver!

“State Fair” will be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing on Tuesday, October 4th at 7:30pm.
