New Casual Dining Option In The Dallas Arts District

The Information Center on the campus of the AT&T Performing Arts Center is being transformed into Center Café, a casual, a la carte dining space featuring creations by Wolfgang Puck Catering. Center Café will offer snacks and light meals from the morning through dinner in the Arts District. It will also offer premium coffee drinks, wine and beer.

“Our patrons have been looking for a comfortable space to grab something light on the way to work or enjoy a beverage and snack before a show,” says Doug Curtis, president and CEO of the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center. “With our beautiful park, architecture and skyline as a backdrop, Center Café will be that place.” The concept includes indoor and outdoor café seating (with umbrellas outside), as well as a comfortable lounge space with sofas, coffee tables and chairs. Free Wi-Fi will continue to be provided campus-wide by AT&T, the Center’s naming sponsor. The AT&T Experience Wall and information racks will also remain.

The Information Center will close for renovation Monday, July 11th and reopen by August 1st. The existing coffee shop will close on Friday, July 1st. The Box Office ticketing operation will move permanently into the Winspear Opera House on Monday, July 11th where patrons can continue to purchase tickets to performances. The Box Office hours will be weekdays from 10am – 6pm and before performances.

In the coming weeks, patrons can expect more details about the menu from Wolfgang Puck Catering. WPC, the Center’s official catering and concessionaire sponsor, provides a range of food and beverage services for the entire campus. Center Café will be open weekdays from 7:00am – 7:00pm and on weekends, 11am – 7:00pm on performance days only.

The renovation will allow the nonprofit Center to further activate the campus and the Arts District, while providing quick and high-quality food and beverage offerings to the workers, artists and students in the neighborhood, as well tourists and patrons visiting the district.

The Info Center was constructed in 2013; and, like the Winspear Opera House, was designed by Foster + Partners of London, the firm of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Norman Foster.
