Movie Review: “Marley” Is A Beautiful Tribute To A Man Who Will Never Be Forgotten

A documentary on the life, music, and legacy of Bob Marley.

No matter what part of the world you’re from or what generation you belong to, you’ve most likely listened to or own one or more Bob Marley albums. My best college memories include hanging out with friends, burning incense and playing Bob Marley CDs over and over again. He was spiritual, revolutionary, and brought people from all walks of life together through his powerful lyrics. This documentary is a celebration of a man who grew up in Saint Anne Parish, Jamaica with little more than hopes of influencing the world through his music.

With footage of rare interviews and performances, you’ll get a sense of how passionate Marley was about bringing change to the world. His radical and political views were always present in his music as he was determined to spread peace. You’re going to love this documentary. I personally enjoyed the interviews especially during the early years, as it truly gives so much depth into the private world of Bob Marley, not just as a musician, but a man with so much love and a vision he never thought would forever live in the hearts of others.

Available in Virtual and Traditional Theaters July 31st
