Share the spirit of the season as you scare up new and old traditions with Vampirina. Gear up for very merry motoring with Mickey and the Roadster Racers, and join the Puppy Dog Pals as they hitch a Christmas Eve ride on Santa’s sleigh. You’re in for fun, music and joyful surprises all rolled into one when you spend the holidays with family, friends…and your best pals from Disney Junior!

Looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for your preschooler? Look no further than a cute DVD compilation of Christmas episodes from some of Disney Junior’s favorite shows. If your child wants to become a vampire like Vampirina, or own a couple of pugs like in Puppy Dog Pals, or enjoys Mickey and his crew in Mickey Mouse Club House, then this DVD is a must. The disc does not offer new episodes but offers two bonus episodes featuring Chip’n’Dale and Minnie with Daisy. All the episodes focus on Christmas or wintertime fun, which is the draw to the disc.

The vampire next door – Vampirina – is ready to celebrate the holidays including a few traditions new to humans such as the Blood Moon celebration and changing the weather with a touch of magic all with the help of her grandparents. She also gets to do a little cooking with her grandma Nanpire and a new guest for a festival.

In Puppy Dog Pals, the adorable doe-eyed dogs you love help Santa find their owners presents. After a visit from the jolly old man, the pups make a giant mess in the kitchen and ruin the Hanukkah latkes their owner was attempting to make for some neighbors. They save the day with an adventure trip to the store. The pugs finish up with a trip to a museum and their first snowflake of the year.

Mickey Mouse gets a chance to help out Santa too when Mrs. Claus shows up to ask for help. Santa got stuck on Mistletoe mountain. If your child isn’t a fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but likes Mickey Mouse and the Roadster Racers, they will be happy to see an episode of where Minnie enters a Christmas Race and the other characters help Santa deliver presents to the right children.

The bonus episodes were my favorite as Chip’n’Dale have always been a favorite. In this mini-episode, the adorable chipmunks help Minnie and Daisy build a snow-bunny. The other mini-episode features Minnie and Daisy attempting to decorate a tree together and the battle of whose ornaments will go on the tree.

As with all Disney Junior shows, each episode splits into two mini-episodes. The episodes are short and sweet. The only real issue I had with the shows was the annoying voices. Adults cannot talk in high-pitched voices and sound like children. It just doesn’t work that way. Why can’t the shows hire children actors to do the voices? Is there some child labor law preventing children from doing voiceovers? Otherwise, my daughter flat out asked me to give the DVD a high rating as she enjoyed the show. I would have preferred to change out Mickey Mouse for Elena of Avalor or Doc McStuffins as Mickey has plenty of screen time. In conclusion, this is a great winter-time DVD for the target audience. Parents may not want to subject themselves to the annoying voices.
