The epic series explores the ancient and unexplained — all in search of humankind’s origins and even the secrets of the universe. From the age of dinosaurs to the mysteries of ancient Egypt, from early cave drawings to present-day sightings and cover-ups, “Ancient Aliens®” takes viewers on a provocative, thought-provoking journey around the world and across the universe, beyond our wildest imagination.

With so many shows on TV that deal with the supernatural, UFOs and the unexplained, it’s hard to know where to start. The HISTORY channel produces many of these kinds of episodic shows and “Ancient Aliens” has been around since 2010. It covers absolutely everything you would need to know about aliens, from their supposed influence over primitive man thousands of years ago, to present-day earth and beyond.

This Special Edition Box Set includes a whopping 36-disc collection, a serious amount of DVDs perfect for the serious alien connoisseur. It begins with Season 1 from 2010 and ends with Season 10, although the show is still going strong on the HISTORY channel, now up to its thirteenth season. It focuses on discoveries of ancient artifacts, items very similar to today’s planes and jets, going back thousands of years that suggest mankind at that time, had the ability to fly and indeed, may very well have done so. Scientists today recreated some of these artifacts and found, to their surprise, that they could actually fly.

The series also talks to people who in today’s day and age of skeptics and nonbelievers, have the courage to come forward and describe their encounters with alien beings. Some talk about brief encounters, while others talk about being abducted. Naturally, by the end of each episode, there is no actual proof that aliens ever came to earth but with space being as vast as it is, one would have to be very close-minded to think that we are the only form of life in the galaxy.

One of my favorite episodes, “Underwater Worlds” from Season 2, talks about various underwater structures and remains that many people believe were used by extraterrestrials long ago. Mankind has only begun to scratch the surface when it comes to space exploration but there is still so much to be discovered here on earth, deep beneath the oceans. This episode focuses on the ruins located below Lake Titicaca in Peru, and also the symmetrical structures of Yonaguni off the coast of Japan and because some of the oceans on our planet are so deep and immeasurable, there is still more to be discovered in the darkness below.

Many people have admitted that they’ve seen or encountered alien spacecraft or otherworldly beings and for what it’s worth, here are my two cents. I used to live back in Dublin, Ireland, in a suburb called Donaghmede. We were right next to another locality called Kilbarrack which had two large building structures, we called them flats, they were built by Dublin Corporation for social and affordable housing. One evening, around sunset, I was looking out my bedroom window and while looking at these flats, I noticed a small aircraft, at the time I thought it was a plane, fly over them. This wasn’t too much of a curiosity since we weren’t too far from Dublin Airport but as it flew directly over them, it slowed down completely and then came to a stop, and within a matter of moments, flew back in the direction it had originally come from but at lightning fast speed. I ran down the road to an open area but could see nothing more. Can I explain what I saw, other than the description I gave above? No. I know it wasn’t a plane or a helicopter, so what else could it have been? Well, since we’re talking about aliens and otherworldly creatures, I’ll leave that up to you.

“Ancient Aliens: 10th Anniversary Edition Gift Set” is perfect viewing for the serious alien aficionado. Even if you’re a skeptic, there is enough information herein to make you go, hmmmmmmm!
