4K Ultra HD Review: “Rockers” Is A Celebration Of Reggae Music And Community

Horsemouth sets himself up in business selling records, but when gangsters steal his bike, things start to turn nasty. As tensions build, Horsemouth and friends plot to end the gangsters’ reign of terror and restore justice to the people of Kingston.

In the heart of Kingston’s music scene, reggae drummer Horsemouth dreams of becoming a star while distributing vinyl records on his brand-new motorcycle. But when his bike is stolen, Horsemouth rallies a group of legendary musicians to track it down and take on the organized criminals responsible for exploiting their community and culture.

Brought to life by its jamming reggae soundtrack, which sounds wonderful in both Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and 2.0 Stereo, and crisp, vivid colors reinvigorated by the 4K restoration, “Rockers” is an unforgettable depiction of 1970’s Jamaica, starring real-life reggae icons Richard “Dirty Harry” Hall, Jacob Miller, Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Dillinger, Kiddus I, Robbie Shakespeare, and Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace as himself.
